Darwin's Black Box

Darwin's Black Box is a must read. I have just started reading it and it is a wonder. It does not bring in the Bible or creationism but just talks about what is wrong with the bio part of evolution in great detail. You can get the book for $12.50 at Creation Science Evangelism Store.

"How do I witness to someone I know, like a family member?"

For most of us, it is far easier to witness to a stranger than to someone we know and respect. An effective way to soften the message without compromise is to speak in the "first person" or in testimonial form. Say something like, "I didn’t realize that the Bible warns that for every idle word I have spoken, I will have to give an account on Judgment Day. I thought that as long as I believed in God and tried to live a good life, I would go to heaven when I died. I was so wrong. Jesus said that if I as much as looked with lust, I had committed adultery in my heart, and that there was nothing I could do to wash away my sins. I knew that if God judged me by the Ten Commandments on Judgment Day, I would end up guilty, and go to hell."
"It was when I acknowledged my sins that I began to understand why Jesus died. It was to take the punishment for my sins, and the sins of the world." Then, depending on the person’s openness, you may ask, "How do you think you will do on Judgment Day, if God judges you by the Ten Commandments?"

Bible Believing Scientists of the Past

Chocomel has said that
"No real geologists (who are also scientists) accept this young earth theory."

There are thousands of liveing scientists that believe in special, recent creation, who believe in Chirst. Many of these men belong to one particular organization, the Creation Research Society, and there are numerous similar organizations around the world.

Keep Your Faith to Yourself

"And Jesus came and spole to them, saying, All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Sprit: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. Amen."
Matthew 28:18-20

In school I have recently over heard a conversation between 3 students. I always try not to listen in on someones conversation since it is none of my business but the topic was so interesting. The 1st student was saying that he wanted a Bible study in School. The 2 other students flew off the handle fast showing there displeasure to the idea, and I would have to agree with them. A school having a Bible study is a bad idea (at lest in a public school.). If the study would be very liberal and the teacher would most likely say that there are many ways to interpret what the Bible says which is not so.

I do know that the student goes to church (the one who said he wanted a Bible study.) But I would not say that he is saved. If the student went to Sunday School and Youth Group he would have his fill of Bible study. For me I have one every night to keep my Spirit full. Back to the conversation, The first student asked why the other 2nd would not like a Bible study? They said that they had just gotten out of seminary (they are Mormon.) and are tired of hearing about the Bible, 1st period is enough. What?

I was blown out of my seat, now I do not agree with what Mormons teach but still people who place there trust in a faith do not wont to learn more about what they believe? This just backs up what I believe, most Americans do not take faith seriously. It is just a social thing much like political party's have become or sports teams. The conversation only dragged on and then another student jumped in and said that there is a time and place for every thing.

Once again I was shocked! My faith has to be kept at home or at church? The 2 other students then said that the 1st student should not be pushing his beliefs on anyone. There are two problems with this statement first:

I am told by Jesus to "go into all the world" and so if I did not share my faith I would commit a sin because the LORD commands me to go out into the world and share the Gospel. The second thing that is wrong with there statement is that if I can not push my beliefs on others then they can't push there belief on me! I took notes on what they said and returned to work, surprised on how the world thought of those who try to reach the lost.

I loved this comment so much that I decided to post it. Enjoy!

The Creation Science Blog

First off I would like to shoot this down:

"Until the ark is found we do not know
what it looked like.
"

The alleged ark is yet to be discovered by a qualified team of scientists, but many seemingly reliable sources have claimed to have seen it. For more information on Noah's ark an excellent technical resource is : Noah's Ark: A feasibility Study by John Woodmorappe. But on June 20th of 1981 the Turkish Government established the Noah's Ark National Park, there is a large 'boat shape' object that is believed to be Noah's Ark. They have found inside of it Iron rivets found at the ark site and are on display at the Wyatt Museum in Cornersville, TN. Now the Bible says:

"
The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and height of it thirty cubits."

Genesis 6:15

A cubit is from elbow to finger tip, since the book of Genesis was put
together by Moses he would have translated the cubit into the Egyptian Cubit
(after all the
Hebrews where slaves in Egypt for some time and Moses was raised there. The boat shape object at Noah's Ark National Park is 515 feet = 300 Egyptain Cubits. The ark would have been only 367 feet off from the Titanic and since football fields are 300 feet long it would be over 1 and a half times
as long as a football field.

It really does not matter what "Literalists generally think" seeing that man is been wrong about many things. Also it does not matter what you think personally in the means of the ark. If a car holds 4 people does it change if I personally think it holds 2? No it does not. and what does "
or 7 depending on where you are looking in the Bible" mean?"

"
Noah lived 950 years? If you take the bible
literally, sure, but you don’t know how long their year was or if it was translated correctly.
"

Seeing that Moses put Genesis together then he would have change it over to
the Hebrew Calender and you are arguing that it was not, you are arguing from pure speculation.

And to top it all of the Bible says:

"
There were giants in the earth in those days;

Genesis 6:4

this is "pure speculation" is not pure speculation (wow that sounded strange), I believe the Bible. And it has not been proved wrong, evolutionist have holes in there philosophy so why go with something that does not have all the answers when the Bible does. They are asking me to accept evolution by faith. I all ready have one thank you.

If you
realize that this makes no difference to me then way are you
wasting your time? If I am wrong we both die and nothing more becomes of us, If you are wrong you go to hell and I go to heaven. If you now you are right then way to you defend and waste your time with creationists?

income tax

"Is it lawful for us to give tribute to Caesar, or no? But he perceived their craftiness, and said to them, Why tempt me? Show me a penny. Whose image and superscription has it? They answered and said, Caesar's. And he said to them, Render therefore to Caesar the things which be Caesar's and to God the things which be God's. And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marveled at his answer, and held their peace."
Luke 20:22-26

In recent weeks Dr. Hovind has been brought into court becouse he has not been paying the 'income tax'. Dr. Hovind clams that it does not apply to him. In recent days I got this comment:

"But anyway back to Hovind, been following the trial? You said a while back that "he is in line with the law". That really is a pretty ignorant thing to say coming from a bible thumper such as yourself. In Matthew 22:21, Jesus responds to the Pharisees about paying taxes to Caesar and states:..."Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's." Jesus acknowledges that we are to pay taxes. It is the right thing to do. I don't see why Hovind chooses to ignore this verse. Well actually yes I do, he is delusional."

Because I am not an expert on tax's and government I will not defend Hovind but I will let him do it himself. Please pray for him brothers and sisters.
